The I AM’s - a deeper look

Updated: Jul 26, 2022

The author of Hebrews says “now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen” (Hebrews 11:1). At times circumstances and doubts may try to crowd out our hope. But hope, not wishful thinking, is found in a sure knowledge of God. He is the hope bringer. God Himself enables us to stand in a position of hope and faith. This is by the comfort and leading of Holy Spirit. He empowers us to look at the world around and within us through His lens; and remain unshaken and unshakable.

Hope: The feeling of Trust (Dictionary.com)

When you speak to someone who has hope (or faith), it can feel like you are speaking to someone who denies the circumstances. But really, they are looking through the circumstances to the One who is more powerful and greater than anything that can every happen to or around us. To Father God Himself. There is almost as if there is a certainty that the thing you desire which seems unattainable, is actually a given; and that it will happen. You just know, that you know, that you know, even though circumstances are screaming something else.

Hope is not having to ask the question about what you see, but knowing that God is already at work. The sure knowledge that fears, worry and concerns cannot shake the truth of who He is and what is capable of. It's not that we live in denial, it's that we chose to bring hope into the centre of the situation. To have Christ central to the way you think, believe and act. When we live like this, the way our lives unfold changes.

One of the most beautiful aspects of knowing God, is that His Lordship & friendship in your life, enables you to live above life's mere circumstances. To have the indwelling of Holy Spirit who helps us know and understand the Bible, live in a way that brings glory to God and believe that everything the Bible says about God is one hundred percent accurate.

God really is amazing! It is like everything starts and ends with Him. Not only do we get to have hope, we get to know hope.
